Stuart Sanford

Stuart Sanford brings experience in mergers and acquisitions, accounting, valuation, and capital markets to Mezzo. He has advised on transactions across a range of industries, including industrials, packaging, building products and services, healthcare, business services, technology, consumer, and specialty finance. His deal experience spans sell-side, buy-side, and financing engagements.

At Mezzo, Mr. Sanford maintains strong relationships within the institutional private equity and private debt community and leads the firm’s coverage of the packaging and industrial sectors.

Mr. Sanford joined the firm in 2012. Prior to joining Mezzo (then Mazzone & Associates), he began his career at Deloitte & Touche, where he spent nearly four years as an auditor in the alternative investment management group, rising to senior associate. During his tenure, he obtained his CPA license through the New York State Society of CPAs and developed expertise in financial statement analysis, private company valuation, and a broad range of financial products.

Mr. Sanford has been active in mentorship and community initiatives. He served as a representative of Deloitte & Touche for the Youth About Business (YAB) Summer Camp at Columbia University in 2009 and 2010, and at Emory University in 2014. He remains involved in the community through volunteer work with the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Trees Atlanta, and the Cathedral of Christ the King.

Mr. Sanford holds a Bachelor of Science degree with special attainments in commerce from Washington and Lee University.
